Questions about reporting or the legal process?
UCIPD CAREs!
...a resource for students, staff and faculty to gather knowledge about helping themselves or their loved ones.
UCIPD CAREs was designed as a place where students, faculty and staff can drop in to ask questions or to gather information about reporting options related to relationship violence and sexual assault. It was developed in response to a growing awareness that people may want to seek information without committing to a course of action or may feel uncomfortable contacting law enforcement directly. In this group participants can obtain answers to their questions about reporting or get responses to real or hypothetical scenarios.
This group is a collaboration between the UCI Police Department and UCI Campus Assault Resources and Education (CARE), the University’s source for information and support related to sexual assault or intimate partner violence.
Upcoming group dates are:
Check back for Fall quarter schedule
The group is led by a representative of UCI Police Department and a representative from UCI Campus Assault Resources and Education (CARE). This safe space provides an opportunity to learn about different options for participants or their loved ones, while allowing participants to make their own decisions about next steps to pursue.
Should a participant decide to file a report after participating in the group, he or she may do so, but this is not a requirement of attendance.
