In recognition of Dating & Domestic Violence Awareness Month, UCI CARE will be accepting donations to make CARE packages for local domestic violence shelters.
We know that dating and domestic violence affects many in our UCI and local communities. A study by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence found that 32% of college students report having experienced dating violence by a previous partner.
What you can do?
Donate items for our CARE Package Drive!
UCI CARE is accepting donations to make CARE packages for local domestic violence shelters, including Human Options, Laura’s House, Interval House, and Women’s Transitional Living Center. We are collecting items such as toiletries (could be hotel or travel size), socks, hair products, children’s art supplies (coloring books, crayons, scissors), baby items (bottles, bibs, washcloths, diapers), toothbrushes, notebooks, towels, and cooking utensils.
You may drop off your donations to the CARE office at G320 Student Center. Our Zot Code is 2220. Or, you may call us to pick up at (949) 824-7273 (UCI campus only).
